It is with heavy hearts that the Freewill Shakespeare Festival mourns the loss of Julien Arnold. A former Artistic Associate and frequent actor with the festival, he was as family as it gets. He first performed in the festival in 1992’s production of Much Ado About Nothing. He would go on to create many memorable performances, including Petruchio (twice!) in The Taming of the Shrew, Oberon and Bottom in different productions of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Gloucester in King Lear among many others. A beloved member of Edmonton’s theatre community, he will be sorely missed. Our hearts go out to his family, friends, and colleagues.
